    I saw the show last night in Brighton. I was impressed, entertained, absorbed, affected. Brilliant. Thank you.

    I was awake last night buzzing from the connection I felt with the play. It is hard to put in a few sentences why and how it has made such an impression on me. I am 37. I have had my own life experiences, some of which I have found challenging. I have also worked with many different people in London and now in Brighton struggling with abuse, metal health issues, drug and alcohol dependency and illness.

    My passion is to empower those that are often unheard to have a voice. My work currently is to help children and young people be heard by adults around them and those in positions of authority. To help them discover how they feel and think about situations that affect them and encourage and enable them to find ways of dealing with challenging scenarios and be part of finding solutions to things that worry them.

    The play reaffirmed to me why I do what I do. This was my facebook status last night;
    “Lovely Tania took me to see The Girls at the Dome tonight. I am shell shocked by the incredible writing and performances of four young people telling their own stories giving insight into today’s culture of teenage knife and gun crime. I am truly inspired and has furthered my passion into ensuring young people are given a voice. Not sure I will be able to sleep. Awesome”.

    I wish I had truly registered beforehand what I had been invited to see. SO many people would benefit from seeing the play, from young people I work with who can relate so much to the individual stories or to those who just don’t seem to really see, or understand, or want to listen to others living in a world that is different to their own. This play gives a voice to so many in a way that isn’t patronising and the acting is outstanding. The individuals are brave and inspiring and I hope that the experience and feedback from the audience gives them continued strength to live a life of their choosing.

    I gave you a standing ovation last night and am still applauding you now. PLEASE can I be on whatever mailing/marketing list you may have so I can promote any future work.

      Thank you for your generous response to the play. We are currently preparing some video extracts shot in Falmer back in November. These are short extracts from the play, filmed on location, rather than in a theatre space. They will eventually form part of an educational pack, produced by Fidelma Hanrahan and the School of Psychology at Sussex Uni.

    I went to see this play last night. It was brilliantly acted and written. It is the most powerful piece of theatre I have seen in a long time. The depictions of domestic abuse and sexual exploitation were chilling yet the overall impression was one of hope and humanity.
    Well done to everyne involved!
